JEC composite exhibition in Paris is the N.1 show for composite development and application within several industries. We will participate the fair with the goal of finding partners for glass fiber & adhesive production, but also to meet with world leading actors within strengthening and repair of structural elements.

2 days at Nordbygg 2010 fair

We spent two full days, 25-26 March, at the Nordbygg 2010 fair with the aim of investigating the strengthening potential within all materials such as steel, concrete, and timber. This resulted in very interesting meetings with Martinsons Byggsystem, SETRA, and STO (StoCretec), where future collaboration could exist. As an add-on the fair included a lot of power tools, enabling practical exercises, otherwise a very seldom occurring event at the engineering education.

Visit at glulam beam manufacturer Moelven Töreboda

Today we met with a team from Moelven Töreboda at their glulam beam factory in Töreboda in order to evaluate Tenrocs strengthening solution. Great interests where shown and we will investigate further development needed in order to commercialize the invention.

Approved first step, VINN Verifiering from Vinnova

We have now past the first step in the VINN Verifiering process and moved on to presentation and interview! Tenroc has applied for 2 MSEK in order to take the project to next step, enabling product development, pilot-project, and commercialization.

Proof-of-concept completed with spot-on results

Our research team has now completed the proof-of-concept with satisfying results. The test included strengthening of 3 glulam with the usage of a single pre-stressed carbon fiber laminate covering 0.3 % of the cross-sectional area. The beams where loaded to failure and an increased in load carrying capacity of 40 % where measured!
